Rob, I wonder how we can exploit the RSS technology for our courses.
Try this, for instance: for the time of the event, each TeleTOP course has a RSS feature beaming in news from a source that provides information relevant to the course subject. At the end of the course we would help people to carry the RSS feed over to a site of their convenience.
Or this one: Ep LLD creates their own feed (we have to have news of interest, though) and distributes to customers: discpline heads, skillpool managers, past particpants, new graduate hires, etc. etc.
Any other ideas out here? I think there are some very interesting opportunities.
Seb, have been thinking about beaming into news as well. This would be very easy! Or maybe a separate button in TeleTOP with latest on ... Maybe the news get's to cluttered otherwise.
Our own feed would be the next step I recon. Let's see how we can use it in our TeleTOP courses first. With this tool it's just an html code which you can paste into your pages. Easy!
Could you set up a sample site displaying a few options of how things could look like? And what the purpose could be?
