Has anyone implemented any BLOG in Shell?

Interesting question from the Shell IT Global Networks (like the new GN!)....

Here's one response...

Blogs were implemented in Basell to support the innovation work of senior scientists. They basically blogged their daily work as they would in a Lab Note Book, but also put thoughts ideas and opinions down.
These triggered responses from peers and as initial research ideas were planned, feedback was given early enough in the process to make it useful and usable.
At the time of the Basell sale they had 57 blogs that were highly used (published to) and highly read via RSS feeds. (600+ blog readers/reactors)

We deployed Movable Type for the blog environment and NewsGator Enterprise which is an RSS reader for Outlook. You need both technologies to make blogs work.

A research proposal now can be completed in less than half the time with the business already buying into it as they were involved via the blogs in reviewing and improving it.

Interesting they used RSS feeds... This means you don't have to go to the site to know if there is a new message posted! It will come in your inbox automatically as soon as something new has been posted (like TeleTOP email notification).
