PureText - copying text without formatting
"Have you ever copied some text from a web page or a document and then wanted to paste it as simple text into another application without getting all the formatting from the original source? PureText makes this simple by adding a new Windows hot-key that allows you to paste text to any application without formatting."
This way you don't have to use a programme like Notepad to undo the formatting of the copied text anylonger. I use PureText and it's very handy. You would think something like this is available in Windows itself, but I don't know of that option in Windows XP, is it available in Windows Vista?
PureText is a single executable with no installation required, so perhaps it's possible to use it on the Shell computers as well.

Elka, It is possible in windows 2000, so probably also in Windows XP. For MS office programs you can use the option Edit --> Paste special --> unformatted text.

Yes, that's a handy option in Office then. However, in online HTML editors (as in VLE's) it often doesn't work. They don't have a 'Paste Special' option, or something similar. So I guess I should blame it on the HTML editors and not on Windows :-)
Or Windows should have a 'Copy Special' function :-)

The application is compitable from Windows '95 up to Vista!
