Shell officials to promote workplace learning program at GetEnergy 2007
Last March key Shell staff members (o.a. Adam Loas) promoted workplace learning at GetEnergy 2007, one of the oil and gas industry's global networking events."Workplace learning is an initiative to transfer and share expertise between local and expatriate employees. It aims to cultivate knowledge through the ASL concept, which stands for ask (encouraging questions from the employees), learn (through libraries, networks and groups) and share (encouraging employees to share their knowledge by uploading it on the company's website)."
"The event features interactive exchanges, case study groups, Master classes and oil company interviews examining various topics such as local content, fast tracking local talent, effective recruitment retention, industry-university partnership, graduate recruitment, leadership development, knowledge transfer, company-wide competence, coaching and mentoring and on-the-job training."
