Second Life avatars and copyright

FYI, I asked Second Life the following question:
"Is it possible to make snapshots and videos in Second Life and use them in not-for-profit e-learning courses and tutorial videos? Or does Second Life have copyright on the avatars?"

And this is what they answered:
"As far as we're concerned, this isn't against the rules, so feel free."
