(3D) Visualize Your Ideas!

My quarterly SAGAnet (Gaming and Simulation) meeting this time was at the TXChange Virtual Reality Cell at the Twente University Campus. TXChange is a company that was created to stimulate innovation by visualizing ideas and process when in a design process.

The lab has been used by different architects, designers and their stakeholders to visualize their ideas, scenarios and get immediate feedback. The ideas that people normally would keep in their heads are put on the table through 3D representations of new to be build areas or new products.

The whole day reminded me of the IDO video we once saw where the brainstorming process was so creative and energetic. In the IDO video the brainstorm led to a new shopping cart, which was build and tested.

In this lab you would be able to visualize this design process and also virtually test the product amongst different stakeholders as well. It just reminded me of brainstorming sessions we have with our stakeholders and how important it is to visualize ideas.
