Seb in El Dorado

Hotel El Dorado: the place I am staying in Almeria/Carboneras. The hotel was built for staff/actors from the movie Lawrence of Arabia. Amazingly, scenes for Doctor Zhivago were shot here in the heat of Carboneras as well. I was told white clay sand was used for the winter scenes.

The Hotel is full of old photographs and lots of autographs can be found as well ("Many thanks for everything. Love - Audrey Hephurn").

And did I tell you about the old goldmine situated just over the hill? Indiana Jones spent some time there together with his dad (also known as Sean Connery).

Now all the backdrop for the field part of a learning event that is being turned into a Course for "Young Explorers" in Shell. Hmmm ...
